Mini Hiatus

I will be an infrequent poster/commenter for the next few weeks. This week is the big push to get the house ready for sale. My deadline for putting it on the market is next Monday. Wish me luck.

Good luck. Watch "Designed to Sell" on HGTV for tips on what to do in prep for the big day. It's very amusing.

Or you could bury a St. Anthony in your front yard.

Psst, while the real Duck is out of the room, another Duck shows up:

KAHULUI -- After a car was seen speeding and running a red light, police stopped the driver -- who had a beer in one hand and was in what was later reported to be a stolen car, police said.
The traffic stop was made shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday by Lt. Bobby Hill, commander of the Traffic Section. He said he saw the 1988 Acura sedan make a U-turn on Maui Lani Parkway before turning onto Kaahumanu Avenue and
running a red light at Mahalani Street as it headed toward Kahului.
The car was speeding and making unsafe lane changes, Hill said, before turning onto Wakea Avenue and pulling over.
The driver, identified as 49-year-old Daniel Duck of Kihei, had a beer in one hand when he was asked to step out of the car, Hill said.
He arrested Duck on charges of reckless driving and having an open liquor container in a vehicle.
Later, Duck also was charged with unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle when police learned the car had been taken without permission earlier in the day from a residence on Mapu Place in Kihei, police said. The
vehicle owner told police that Duck had asked to use the car and was told no.
Bail for Duck was set at $1,400 on the three charges.

So today's the big day. I wonder if our Duck is feeling a bit at sea.
