Are you driving or flying? Either way, it's a great trip.
Drove, with the exception of Lake Michigan and the Alaskan inside passage, which we did by ship.
Some years ago, we drove from Vermont to Jasper, but never got over to the coast or north to Alaska. Too late now, although we may still take the Alaskan cruise one of these summers. We don't get a summer vacation anymore. Now we're on a permanent vacation and it's great.

Are you living in Anchorage? I thought you were moving to Fairbanks.
