Does Anyone Want to Take a Chance...
On Barack Obama becoming the next President of the United States ?
I will wager that he will not, and if anyone wants to take the other side, I'll put up five books, CDs, or DVDs to your lonely one...
Also, I'll give two to one if anyone wants to back the proposition that McCain will be the next POTUS, and three to one if anyone's mad for Rudy Giuliani.

Oro,
What's the expiration date on this offer>

I think Obama has a good chance at being a VP candidate for the Democrats who have a reasonable chance of winning in 08.
So how about Obama to place at two to one? That is, you give me two books, CDs, or DVDs when Obama becomes VP.

Done.
I'm picking Romney to win.
Former governors have been presidents for all but four years since 1972.
I think that you must mean 1977.
Romney has a good shot, and Governors do have an edge, but the fact that four of the past five Presidents have been former Governors isn't determinative.
If Gore had gotten a thousand more votes that counted in Florida, then Governors would have made up only three of the past five Presidents.
Plus Kerry came close, and he never did anything as useful as being a Governor.
